William Duffy grew up learning the trade and business from his parents. That early hands-on experience fostered a deep respect for craftsmanship, hard work, and doing things the right way. Today, William leads the company with the same values it was built on—honesty, precision, and pride in every detail, creating spaces that bring people together and stand the test of time.

Teresa Duffy

Business Development

Teresa, following her parents’ footsteps, developed a passion for plant care and creative design from a young age. With more than 20 years of experience, she pairs deep plant knowledge with a thoughtful design approach focused on client needs to bring outdoor visions to life. Teresa is a graduate of the University of Guelph’s Landscape Design Program and holder of a Green Shores Level 1 Certification.

Somerset Gardens Inc. began back in 1990 as a single greenhouse garden centre, combining Patrick’s farming background and Amy’s love of horticulture. Patrick and Amy passed the reigns over to the second generation in 2004, but continue to contribute their experience, passion, and deep agricultural roots to the ongoing success of Somerset Gardens Inc.

Founded in 1990 by Amy and Patrick Duffy, Somerset Gardens Inc. began as a small family-run garden centre focused on quality and community. In 2004, second-generation owner William Duffy took the reigns, overseeing a period of growth that places Somerset Gardens Inc. as the trusted landscape design build company in Prince Edward Island. To this day, the team is built on Amy and Patrick’s foundations, using quality materials, modern methods, and a dedication to listening to customers, creating unique landscaping that retains the spirit of Prince Edward Island.
